Each year free courses are run by people from local churches which explain the Christian faith. This is an opportunity to find out more about Christianity and the Bible, and is open to students of any nationality or religious background. To reserve a place on one of these courses, please send an email to Hugh Griffin with your name and contact details.
A visa in your passport gives you access to another place. It allows you to go into a country, to look around, to observe the culture and the way people do things, to meet the people, to ask questions and to understand the language. It gives you an opportunity to find out for yourself about the place you are visiting.
Likewise, the Visa course is designed to help you begin to understand the Christian faith and the Bible. It is an opportunity for you to listen, to discuss and to ask questions in a relaxed atmosphere. Over the eight week course we will look at what Christians believe, and study some passages from the Bible.
The next Visa course will be held at Guildford Baptist Church, Millmead
on Wednesday evenings from 23rd September to 9th December, 7pm to 9.30pm.
This includes a meal together and an opportunity to meet local people and practise speaking English.
It is specifically designed for ESOL speakers.

Each week we look at a different subject connected to the Bible. Typically, we start each evening with a meal, and time for chatting together (7 to 8pm). We then spend from 8 to about 9.30pm studying our subject for the evening, which usually includes reading the Bible, some group discussion, and time for any questions.
Transport is provided for guests from anywhere in Guildford both to and from the venue.
