What do Christian believe? What is the Bible? Who is Jesus for Christians?
are YOU just curious to get to know more about Christianity, the Bible and jesus? Are you part of a different religion and have questions about Christianity? or are YOU a Christian and want to grow in your understanding of the Bible? Then join our Bible discussion groups! They run throughout the term, for both groups and individuals. Or go along with a local person and visit a local church.
If interested in any of the activities on this page, please do not hesitate to contact Hugh.
iExplore gives international students and visiting academics an opportunity to explore the basics of Christianity and runs all year round on Monday evenings in a local house not far from campus. The evening starts with a free meal, followed by the reading of short section of the Bible or presentations and the chance for questions and discussion in a small group setting.
The course is open to international students of any faith or none, and students are welcome to join at any time, all year round – no booking is required and you can join for once only to see how you find it. Lifts to main campuses after the evening are provided.
Visit a local Christian Church
If instead you would like to visit a local church, either out of curiosity or because of your Christian background, we would be very happy to put you in touch with a local Christian Church-family.
Other Bible Discussion Groups for International Students around Guildford
There are a number of other Bible discussion groups running in Guildford for international students all year round:
Women’s Bible Group (with crèche for children)
An informal Bible study – for you if you would like to learn more about Christianity.
Any women are welcome to join the group even if they know little or nothing about the Bible. We run two groups: one group is for women who are Christians and want to study the Bible together in simple English; the second group is for women who would like to find out about the Bible and the Christian faith and ask questions openly.
This is held at Emmanuel Church Centre in Stoughton (Shepherds Ln, Guildford GU2 9SJ) 9.30am to 11am every Tuesday except during school holidays.
Tuesday night bible Group
If Tuesday is the night you can make, Margaret and Peter would love to welcome you in their house in Guildford town centre. The evening starts at 7.30pm with cakes and refreshments and ends at about 9.15pm. Lifts back to main Campuses are provided.
