Saturday 3rd April: Easter Play
Come and see an excellent dramatisation based on these most important events in history.
Guildford High Street, 2:30pm until 3:30pm.
Meet at 2:20pm at the bottom of the High street, by Marks & Spencer.
Every year cast members of Wintershall's popular dramatisation of "The Life of Christ" come together to perform "The Passion at Easter" in Guildford High Street, free of charge. This play follows the historical accounts of Jesus as He is tried, executed and then raised back to life.
There are two performances that start with the trial of Jesus at the corner of Quarry Street and the High Street, ending with the crucifixion and resurrection outside Holy Trinity Church. This year's performance will be held on Easter Saturday at 12noon and 2.30pm. See Wintershall's website.
Julia Stevens will be going to the 2:30pm performance; do feel free to contact Julia if you would like to go with someone.
Afterwards we would like to invite you to tea and refreshments at Millmead church at about 3.45pm.
Monday 3rd May: Country Walk
Come and enjoy seeing some of Surrey's countryside.
2pm until 7pm. Meet at 1:30pm outside the new Starbucks at the main entrance of campus.
The first Monday in May is always a "Bank Holiday" in the UK. Why not take advantage of having no lectures or the day off work and join us for a fantastic walk in some of Surrey's countryside!
Please bring something waterproof to wear in case of rain, wear strong footwear suitable for country walks, and if possible bring some bottled water or drink.
The walk will end with English afternoon tea (a light meal) and a short talk with a Christian message. This event is free and has always been popular. It is hosted by Horsley Evangelical Church. There are photos from previous walks on the photos pages. This event is very suitable for families with children, but not those requiring a push-chair.
At all Friends International events, children are the responsibility of their parents at all times.
You are also welcome to join us at our other events, although these may be less suitable for young children.
